Overview
The
Malvern Manifest System integrates seamlessly with Macola to enable a fast and
accurate shipping operation. Just enter the order # and all shipping
information is instantly displayed. Use a pre-defined shipping method or
automatically rate shop between multiple carriers and services levels. When the
shipping label is printed, freight charges and
tracking numbers are written back to your invoice or order immediately to enable same-day invoicing
and enhanced customer service capabilities. Malvern will dramatically improve your overall shipping
process by increasing efficiency, virtually eliminating human error, and
reducing freight bills.

Macola's Versions 7.5.x - 7.6 (Microsoft SQL or Pervasive
SQL) and Enterprise Suite 4.

Imports all
relevant shipping
data including ship-to address, shipping mode,
PO#, billing options, COD Amount, etc.

Exports
all relevant shipping data (freight charges, tracking number, etc.) for each
package and totals for each order.

Freight charges
sent back to Macola can be carrier's
published rates, your negotiated discounted rates, or either
of these rate
plus a surcharge. Rates can be exported
with or without an optional, configurable handling charge.

Fields
imported & exported to and from Macola are 100%
configurable (virtually any field can be passed between
Malvern and Macola).

Data
conversion tables, data manipulation, error-handling, and customer-specific
business rules can be applied to any data for additional
efficiencies and customized functionality.

Entire
integration is enabled by a user and/or dealer configurable vbScript.
Process & Data Flow
When a Pick Ticket is printed, data is written to Macola's
ARSHOFIL_SQL table. When the shipper scans or enters the order number, Malvern
checks ARSHOFIL_SQL to confirm that the order is ready to be shipped. Then
Malvern automatically imports the shipping data (ship to address,
billing options, shipping mode, etc) from the OEORDHDR_SQL table. The
import routine includes all necessary data conversions (such as ship via code
conversions). Then, the shipper weighs the carton (or types in a weight),
adds or modifies shipping options, and presses F12.
A shipping label is printed and the shipping data for each carton (freight
charges, tracking number, ship date etc) are exported to ARSHTFIL_SQL and the
total freight charges for each order are exported to the OEORDHDR_SQL table.
